Phil Heath wins the 2012 Mr. Olympia
Yesterday evening in Las Vegas Nevada at the Orleans Arwena and the Las Vegas Convention Center the 46th Mr Olympia was held. With over $1million dollars in prize money, this is truly the greatest bodybuilding contest ever.
With numerous other competitions taking place in the same weekend, the Men’s Mr Olympia event is the most watched bodybuilding event in the world.
This year Phil Heath was defending his title after he defeated four time Mr Olympia Jay Cutler in 2011.
The 2012 competition was very close. Already before the men walked on the stage, there was much speculation that it would be between Phil Heath and Kai Greene.
This was the case and Phil Heath had to prove his best to edge past Kai Greene to win his second Mr Olympia.
In third place Shawn Rhoden beat the likes of former Mr Olympia Dexter Jackson, Arnold Classic winner Branch Warren and Dennis Wolf.Phil Heath has is part of a elite club of bodybuilders.
In 46 years only 13 other bodybuilders have won this coveted competition.

In other competitions during the Olympia weekend James Flex Lewis has one the 212 title. Iris Kyle has won her 8th Ms. Olympia title, Erin Stern won the Figure class, Adela Garcia took first place in the Fitness category while Nathalia Melo won the Bikini class.
Already the build up for the 2013 Mr Olympia has started with all eyes on Phil Heath and Kai Greene to go head to head for the title.
