Handball: MHA benefit from IHF Development Aid
The Malta Handball Association has distributed handball equipment to all Maltese Clubs after a benefit they have received from the International Handball Federation.
The support, also known as the IHF Development Aid, strives to help developing handball nations by providing support material to local clubs. This year, new handballs were distributed in order to help clubs reduce costs of buying extra handball material and help them train with top quality handballs.
MHA President Mr. Louis Borg said, “It is always important for local sports to benefit from such grants, especially from an international level point of view. We are trying to increase the level of handball in Malta and this type of assistance will surely prove valuable to all clubs”.
Moreover, The Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee has announced the 25 core sports for the 2020 Olympic Games to be proposed to the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires (7 to 10 September) – and, as for all Olympic Games since 1972, handball is part of the Olympic programme.
