The outskirts of Dingli was the location chosen, whereby athletes had to start with a 5km run, followed by a 20 km cycle and a final 2.5 km run.  A total of 55 athletes braved the whole course, while 26 more shared the route in relay teams.

Clear blue skies combined perfectly with the picturesque location, and the strong winds of the day before relented, making it a more enjoyable day for all athletes, and numerous marshalls from the organising club.  It still made for a challenging and technical route.

There were no new names on the podium as Mellieha AC athlete Fabio Spiteri and Agones SFC’s David Galea finished first and second with times of 01:05:06 and 01:06:23 respectively.  Nathan Farrugia finished third with a time of 01:08:16.

From the ladies side, Brikirkara St Joseph’s Michelle Vella Wood finished first with a time of 01:13:50, while Hannah Pace of Pembroke Athleta and St Patrick’s AC Danica Bonello Spiteri followed, stopping the stopwatch at 01:15:58 and 01:17:56 respectively.
