FIBA Europe U/16 European Championships Men and Women Division C
The under 16 Maltese National teams will be in Andorra between the 25th July and 1st August for the FIBA Europe European Championships Division C.
In the men’s competition Malta will be playing in Group B together with Cyprus, Gibraltar and San Marino. Andorra, Scotland, Monaco and Wales will be competing in Group A. Malta will start with the first game on Monday against Gibraltar. The following players have been called by National Coach Kristin Baldacchino:
Nikola Andrejevic, Mathias Attard Montalto, Robert Bonnici, Jean Paul Borg, Stefan Cappello, Julian Christopher Cordina, Christian Doublet, Michael Aaron Falzon, Matthew Farrugia and Miguel Gauchi Caruana Montalto.
On the other hand 6 teams will be competing in the women’s competition and Malta was drawn in Group A together with Monaco and Scotland. Group B is made up of Andorra, Gibraltar and Cyprus form Group B. First game for Maltese National team will be on Tuesday 27th July against Monaco. National Coach Peter Farrugia called the following players:
Maria Bonett, Stephanie Davies, Martina De Martino, Paula Ellul, Andrea Mifsud, Chantelle Mifsud, Francesca Mifsud, Gabriella Mifsud, Julia Xerri and Justine Xuereb.
The teams will be accompanied by Mr. Frank Camilleri Secretary General of MBA and Mr. Colin Schembri Vice President.
