Malta weightlifting team prepare for event in Switzerland

Athletes representing the National Weightlifting team are currently in their final preparation stage for attending what is a prestigious tournament being held in Tramelan, Switzerland, commencing next week.

The Malta team will be up against select teams from France, Spain, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland.

Martin Pisani, Ryan Agius and Jovan Reljic will be taking to the stage in representing the Malta colours, under the guidance of Coach Charles Degiorgio and with Jesmond Vassallo acting as officer for the Maltese team.

President Jesmond Caruana, meanwhile, will be leaving Malta this week having been selected by the International Weightlifting Federation for the decorated role as a referee for the World Weightlifting Championships held in Wroclaw, Poland.
