Hellfire triathlon

Maria Vella Galea was given a hamper courtesy of Isostar for showing pure determination and courage during “Hellfire” – a triathlon involving a 1 kilometre swim, a 20 kilometre offroad cycle and a 10 kilometre offroad run, sponsored by popular isotonic drink Isostar.

The event, held in the last weekend of August, saw over 75 athletes take part. “With a scientific approach to hydration thanks to Isostar, together with my training and preparation for the event, this proved to be one of the most rewarding challenges I have tried,” said Maria Vella Galea.

Hellfire saw record temperatures of 34 Degree Celcius in the shade, and rough and demanding terrain at Golden Sands. Isostar made sure that every athlete was suitably hydrated by distributing the drink during the event.
