Mario Pace selected to be IFBB international judge
IFBB-MALTA IFBB president Mario Pace has been selected to be an international judge by IFBB president Dr Rafael Santonja.
After a lifetime of experience in bodybuilding, Mario Pace is still active in the bodybuilding scene at the age of 54. Pace will be competing in the Masters class (over 50 category) at the World Juniors & Masters Championships in Antalya, Turkey on the 10-13 December 2010.
Pace had to go through the process of being a test judge at various international competitions abroad before he was chosen to be an international judge.
After the judging process is over, the IFBB officials compare how the test judge scored the contestants and makes comparisons to the official judges score sheets. If the scores are similar, this gives them the indication that the test judge is judging according to the strict IFBB standards.
Pace was a test judge at the 64th Men’s World Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan and the European Championships in Holland last May.
As Malta used to always be on the sidelines of the judging process, Mario Pace being an official judge will finally give Malta a say on the judging process on the international scene.
