The Malta tennis Federation President, Dr. David farrugia Sacco, stated that these results were very encouraging, with The Malta Team beating both Andorra and Iceland for the first time.
This augurs very well for the 2011 tournament. The seriousness shown by the players have paid off dividends. Prior to the Davis Cup in Greece, the Malta Team had a 5 day training Camp at the Win Tennis Academy in London, through the initiative of the Malta Tennis Federation.
It goes without saying that none of this would be possible without the financial backing of the Federation sponsors GO, GASANMAMO INSURANCE and WILSON.”
