Neptunes and Sliema start with easy wins

In a one sided encounter from first to last, Neptunes Emirates easily disposed of Exiles Jet Services with their foreign players Gornagy and Molnar showing particular guile and talent upfront. The first two sessions ended 4-3 and 4-1 in favour of Neptunes who bossed the game from the start although Exiles put up some resistance in the first session.

The third session also finished 4-1 with Molnar and Camilleri in evidence again scoring at will as Neptunes simply ran down the clock. The final session saw Exiles regain some respectability with a 3-2 scoreline with Cousin and Paris scoring for the Sliema boys and netting a further two goals for a final score of 15-7.

As expected, Sliema broke no sweat in another one sided encounter against lowly Marsascala romping home to victory with their foreign players Kovacs and Rath practically warming up. The first two sessions went Sliema’s way 4-2 and 6-2 with Gabaretta also getting on the scoresheet three times.

The third session also finished 4-2 in favour of Sliema with Rath and Kovacs continuing to notch up goals. The final session was a low key affair with Sliema continuing to add goals at will and with the contest long having disappeared from the match.
