San Giljan to organise international waterpolo tournament this weekend

San Giljan ASC shall be organising its annual International Tournament between Monday 19^th and Wednesday 21^st July 2010 at their pitch in St. Julians.

Participating teams are San Giljan Firetech ASC and M’Scala Solid Base from Malta, Lerici Sport 1954 (Italy) and the Hungarian Waterpolo School Camp 2010 (HWPSC).

San Giljan ASC shall be participating in the 1^st Division Waterpolo League 2010, whilst M’Scala SC shall be competing in the 2^nd Division Waterpolo League 2010.

Lerici Sport 1954 is an Italian team that participated in the Serie B Italian National League during the season 2009/2010.

HWPSC is a Hungarian waterpolo school under the guidance and supervision of Raimond Fodor who last year participated in the Maltese National Waterpolo League with Sliema ASC.

The tournament shall also present two exhibition matches of female waterpolo with the participation of a selection of Maltese athletes and Italian athletes from Bogliasco.

The tournament is being organised with the collaboration of the St. Julian’s Local Council and the Kunsill Malti ghall-iSport (KMS).

The tournament shall be held at San Giljan pitch on the St. Julian’s waterfront. Entrance to watch the games is free.
