Police had to intervene to calm the situation, but the behavior of players from both sides is to be deplored who resorted to insults and violent punches between them.
Neptunes and San Giljan played the penultimate game of the season leaving a bearing on the final league standings. The first two sessions were well matched affairs with the first finishing 2-2 after San Giljan had opened up a two goal lead and the second ending 4-4 with Camilleri and Molnar in evidence. The third session was a thrilling affair which ended 6-6 with both teams scoring at regular intervals setting up a final session nail biter.

In the final match of the Second Division championship, Ta’ Xbiex held on for the point which secured them second place. Otters edged into the first session 3-4 but lost the second 3-1.
The third session saw Otters regain their terrain with some fine goals from Radocz.
