Spain march into quarter finals

The Spanish dominated the game for long stretches with their intricate passing a joy to watch. However Portugal also had their chances and could have scored on a few occasions but their star player Cristiano Ronaldo was very subdued.

Spain will now meet Paraguay in the quarter finals and are odds on favourite to land a semi final berth against either Netherlands or Brazil who play on Friday.
