Landmark passenger numbers on Malta routes from easyJet
Low-fares giant easyJet flies 1.5 million passengers to and from Malta
easyJet, Europe's leading low-fares airlines, has today celebrated flying 1.5m passengers to and from Malta. The milestone highlights how easyJet has grown since taking over the routes from GB Airways in 2008.
To support this growth we are extending services on the Malta to Manchester route, which will increase from five to six flights per week, and see an additional 10,000 thousand seats available for the summer 2013 schedule.
From 25 March 2013, easyJet will operate flights between Malta and Manchester every day, except Sundays.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's Commercial Manager UK and Malta, said:
"We're thrilled to have flown 1.5m passengers to and from Malta, and are delighted to be able to extend our services on the Malta to Manchester route, which we know will be popular for business and leisure travellers alike.
We're making travel easy and affordable, and are committed to offering great value fares. We'd also like to thank our loyal passengers for their continued support of our services. "
Passengers travelling with easyJet can now benefit from free allocated seating on their flights which will be available on all flights from 27 November 2012.
