Banif team takes to Comino
Banif staff and family trek across Comino during a social event
In a refreshing change of scenery from the usual office environment, Banif staff, family and friends spent their Sunday trekking around one of the Maltese archipelago’s gems – Comino!
The trek was as enjoyable as it was challenging, with the route ranging from exploring water-filled caves to scaling Comino’s highest point. Along the way the trekkers were able to visit several places of interest, such as St Mary’s Battery, St Mary’s Tower and the Chapel of Our Lady on the Rocks, all the while admiring the island’s local flora and fauna and stunning geological features.
The weather on the day was pleasantly breezy and the clear blue sky was dotted with seagulls soaring above the tranquil aquamarine waters. Some opted to cap off the day with a refreshing swim in the Blue Lagoon before catching the ferry back to Malta.
The trek was the latest in a series of events planned by the Bank’s Sports & Social Committee, with the aim being to provide a chance to unwind whilst also appreciating the island’s natural beauty and heritage.
