New Mediterranean Conference Centre CEO appointed

Pierre Fenech has over 17 years experience in various management fields

Pierre Fenech has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Mediterranean Conference Centre.

Fenech has over 17 years experience in various types of management fields, ranging from Food and Beverage Management, Event Management, General Management, and was also Director of Operations mainly within the Island Hotels Group.

Fenech graduated from the Institute of Tourism Studies in Hospitality Administration and also has a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Malta. During his career, he also obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Malta.

Commenting on the venue, Fenech said: ‘The setting within the venue which can cater for diverse events such as cultural performances in the Republic Hall, conferences in the Sacra Infermiera Hall and gala dinners in the magnificent La Vallette Hall inspires one and all.

"I would like to show organisers that MCC has the location, technology and team to manage a full event. At every stage, we will support the organisers in delivering not a great event, but a truly unforgettable one.’

The Mediterranean Conference Centre houses what used to be the Knights of St John's hospital and is today the venue with all modern technology, set in an oasis of historical tranquility. It is uniquely positioned overlooking the Grand Harbour and caters for conferences, gala dinners, product launches and cultural events of all kinds.
