Atlas Healthcare offers new 24/7 GP Assistance
Atlas Healthcare is now offering a new 24/7 GP Service, where AXA PPP healthcare clients are able to call a member of its GP service team at any time of day or night to get fast and confidential help.
“Clients will be able to call the 24 hour GP helpline when they have a question about their health, for free support. Our GPs can clarify questions about symptoms, drugs or treatments or give information about preventive care, hospital care or treatment.” said Catherine Calleja, Managing Director of Atlas Healthcare.
However, if you do need to see a doctor, the GP will advise you to see your family doctor which would be preferable for continuity of care. The GP will also be able to arrange a visit (at a fee) should your family doctor not be available.
This new service is the third addition to Atlas Healthcare’s 24/7 helplines. The company already provides a 24/7 emergency claims service, for clients who need emergency hospitalisation after hours, as well as Health at Hand, where clients can obtain free health information over the phone on a 24-hour basis. This service is offered with the assistance of AXA PPP Healthcare who provide immediate access to a qualified and experienced international medical team. Health at Hand is staffed by experienced UK registered nurses, midwives and pharmacists, as well as counsellors who have at least five years’ post qualification experience and are specially chosen with the skills to handle issues confidentially over the telephone.
