Union directives see STMicroelectronics employees stopping work
The industrial action was ordered as a result of the negotiation of the workers' financial package
Some 300 STMicroelectronics employees this morning followed General Workers Union directives and stopped their work.
The industrial action was ordered as a result of the negotiation of the workers' financial package, which Secretary General Tony Zarb said did not differ much to its predecessor.
Zarb called on the company's overseas management to come to Malta to sit down with the GWU to discuss the issue.
