Shireburn continues international expansion assisted by Trade Malta
Software developed by Shireburn Software has been taken up by an Equadorian airport to manage its concessionaires and increase its non-aeronautical revenues
A leading airport in Ecuador has recently chosen Shireburn Software’s Concessionaire Analyzer+ (CA+) solution to better manage its concessionaires and increase its non-aeronautical revenues.
This software product is developed by Malta-based Shireburn Software, a company that is currently participating in an internationalisation assistance programme administered by TradeMalta Ltd.
The Ecuador airport project was won through an international tender process in conjunction with Ikusi, the CA+ partner for Latin America. It represents an important milestone for Shireburn Software, strengthening its position as a leading airport non-aeronautical software provider. The solution is already used in airports in Iceland, Denmark, St Maarten, Gibraltar and here in Malta.
Addressing a business seminar “Doing Business with Turkey,” David Curmi Chairman of TradeMalta Ltd congratulated Shireburn.
“This is indeed good news and we look forward to assisting more locally-based companies,” said Curmi.
Shireburn Software is one of 12 Malta-based companies being assisted by TradeMalta to further internationalise their products and services. The programme, called Global Growth, originally launched and administered by Malta Enterprise, allows the selected companies to claim partial refunds on international marketing expenses on the basis of a three-year internationalisation plan.
In 2014, 12 applicants were selected by Malta Enterprise for support under the Global Growth scheme. Following its setting up in June, TradeMalta took over the programme and intends supporting more companies through this and similar programmes in the coming months.
