Updated | Second theft in as many days on stationery store

The police are investigating a second theft from a basement garage in Triq il-Ħelsien, Żebbuġ, which took place around noon. Another robbery was carried out yesterday on the same site, which is a store to a stationery outlet.

MaltaToday is informed that a grey car entered the basement around 11.50am. Shortly after, the owner of Centre Point Stationery went down to get some products from the store when she caught the thief red-handed.

However, the thief escaped before the police arrived. Police inspected the surrounding area but to no avail.

The police said that in all thousands of euros in toys and stationery were stolen.

Yesterday, the shop owners found their garage had been broken into and toys stolen.

The investigation is still ongoing.
