Car catches fire after collision, no one injured

No one was injured in the incident, which took place at about 10:30am on the strech of road leading to the St Venera tunnels.

A car was gutted by flames earlier this morning, having caught fire after a collision with another vehicle on the Mriehel bypass. 

No one was injured in the incident, which took place at about 10:30am on the strech of road leading to the St Venera tunnels. Members of the civil protection department were on site to control the blaze, which completely destroyed the Skoda vehicle. 

The road was closed to traffic after the incident, resulting in significant tailbacks.
