Three arrested for drug possession after police inspections

Three men have been arrested for drug possession, as a result of police inspections in entertainment areas last night.

The men, aged between 15 and 19, were found to be in possession of substances thought to be cocaine and cannabis resin. Further investigation led to the subsequent arrest of a 29-year-old man from Birzebbugia.

Police said that what they suspect to be ecstasy tablets and cocaine were found in the 29-year-old’s possession in conditions which suggested that the substances were not for his personal consumption.

He is expected to be arraigned in court in the coming days.
