Traffic police officer’s condition improves after San Gwann accident

The condition of a traffic police officer who suffered severe injuries after being involved in an accident at the San Gwann Industrial Estate area has improved.

In a brief statement, the police said that the officer, Toni Galea, is no longer in danger of dying.

48-year-old Galea suffered critical injuries after his motorcycle was involved in a collision between two cars on Thursday at around 8am.

The drivers of the two other vehicles – a 32-year old woman from Birkirkara and a 69-year-old man from Qormi – were also hospitalized after suffering light injuries.
