Extra flights announced to facilitate travel arrangements
Air Malta to add services from Dublin, Glasgow and increasing capacity on London and Brussels to facilitate travel arrangements for eligible Maltese voters
Air Malta will be adding services from Dublin, Glasgow and increasing capacity on London (Gatwick) and Brussels to facilitate the travel arrangements for eligible Maltese voters currently abroad to enable them to vote in the forthcoming MEP elections of the 24th May.

This additional capacity will complement the airline’s scheduled services and the extra flights announced earlier from Luxemburg and Brussels.
These travel arrangements are available for:
- eligible voters, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad; and
- their dependents. A dependent means;
- the child or step-child of such person under the age of eighteen years;
- the spouse of such a person.
Persons to whom this directive applies must be eligible voters whose name appears in the Electoral Register published within five days from the publication of the General Election Writ.
Inbound travel to Malta is possible from 14th May to 24th May 2014 and return travel is from 24th May to 1st June 2014. Those persons who will opt for early voting on the 17th May can travel to Malta from 14th May and may return as of the 17th May and not later than 1st June 2014. Those voting early have to apply at the electoral commission by latest noon on Friday 16th May 2014.
Reservations, once ticketed, may not be changed and are not refundable.
All relevant details that include names and surnames as per passport, ID card, address on ID card, email addresses, credit cards details and contact phone numbers (including mobile number) will be required at the booking stage prior authorisation of any ticket issuance. Details for dependents should include age, followed by date of birth.
Reservations may be made at the Air Malta Call Centre on this specific number (+356) 2599 1230. The centre will be open between Monday to Saturday from 0800-2100hrs and on Sunday from 0800-1700hrs.
