Catania airport back to normal

Following the disruptions over the Sicilian airspace caused by a volcanic ash cloud, Air Malta is pleased to announce that Fontanarossa Airport in Catania is back to its normal operation.

Air Malta’s scheduled flight KM1308/9 has operated as per schedule today and left Malta at 0920 hours local time.

For the convenience of its passengers, Air Malta will be operating an extra flight Malta-Catania-Munich-Catania-Malta today.  Flight KM1304/5 is scheduled to leave Malta at 1500 hours local time.

All other Air Malta flights are expected to operate normally.

A volcanic ash cloud over Fontanarossa Airport in Catania forced the airport to close yesterday.
