Elderly man in danger after accidentally falling into swimming pool

A police statement explained that the accident happened inside a residence in Cafcaf Lane, Swieqi, when the man was walking in the graden, tripped and fell into the pool.

He reportedly found himself in difficulties and was assisted by neighbours who ran into the house to help him.

An ambulance rushed the man to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to be in danger of dying.

A Magisterial inquiry has been launched.
