The grass is greener - Arnold Cassola
Arnold Cassola tells MaltaToday why more people will place their trust in Alternattiva Demokratika in coming election.
In an interview in MaltaToday's Sunday issue, Alternattiva Demokratika spokesperson for International Affairs Arnold Cassola is upbeat about the party's prospects for the next election, despite polls that indicate that it is failing to make inroads into the two party's dwindling support base.
In an interview in tomorrow's edition of MaltaToday, Cassola outlines why he believes more people will place their trust in a party that has proven remarkably consistent in its 23-year history.
He also outlines his party's manifesto, which he maintains is built on "feasible proposals that will be costed".
Cassola defends his party's position against Tonio Borg's nomination for Commissioner, citing "bogus patriotism" as a reason for much of the criticism leveled at the party.
However, he also criticizes MEPs for demanding "unreasonable' additional guarantees in writing' especially the "active support for women's rights".
"I would have no problem signing the first six guarantees, but I wouldn't sign the seventh," he said.
