Karin Grech’s family calls on UK government to probe murder case

New information received by Police alleges that following the closure of the Maltese Medical School, a number of persons - including Nationalists activists - used to meet up in a legal office to plan actions, Illum newspaper reveals.

Karin Grech was killed by a parcel bomb addressed to her father in December 1977 at the height of the doctors’ dispute with the then Labour government. Professor Edwin Grech’s family is calling on the English government to intervene and provide all the necessary help to solve the mystery behind his daughter’s murder.

Being born in England and a holder of a British passport, her family is now calling on the British government to intervene and to provide all the necessary help to solve this long-standing mystery that led to her brutal death.

Sister newspaper Illum reveals today that the Police have received new information related to the case during the past few months.

According to the report, fingers are seemingly pointing towards a “personality” who held a legal office at the time and still has strong influence locally.
