1,706 hospital admissions caused by traffic accidents

There have been 1,706 admissions to Mater Dei Hospital caused by traffic accidents since 2010. According to information tabled in parliament, collectively these patients spent a total of 11,322 days at Mater Dei Hospital.

The highest rate of traffic accidents, 447, was registered in 2012. The least number of accidents – 334 – was registered in 2010.

So far between January and May there were 157 traffic accidents.
