Plans are in the works for a collaboration between Malta and Sweden to enhance the recycling of waste, after Environment Minister Leo Brincat held a meeting with Swedish Ambassador to Malta Lars-Hjalmar Wide.
Sweden is currently importing large quantities of waste from European countries.

“These talks are part of the government’s national plan to manage waste,” Brincat said.

Brincat and Wilde also spoke about the EU’s 2030 climate and energy package that is expected to be discussed at a ministerial meeting in Milan at the beginning of October.
