Emrullah Isler, the Turkish Prime Minister’s special envoy to Libya, is currently in Malta for talks with the Libyan PM Abdullah Al Thinni.

Isler is then scheduled to visit Misurata, the power base of the Libya Dawn militia in control of Tripoli and Benghazi.

The Turkish government said that Isler has already visited Tobruk, where the Libyan government and House of Representatives are based.

It also said that Isler shared the Turkish government’s views on the importance of peace and stability in Libya and the need to end the armed conflict in the country.

Recently, Libyan Prime Minister Al Thinni, in an interview with the Libya Herald, complained of the lack of action from the international community, saying that the under-resourced government could not fight the well-armed militias without international assistance.
