Foreign Minister to visit Israel, Palestine, Jordan
Foreign Minister George Vella will sign a Declaration on the Establishment of a Joint Intergovernmental Committee with the Palestinian Foreign Minister.
Foreign Minister George Vella will visit Israel, Jordan, and the Palestinian territories. He will also be one of the first foreign dignitaries to visit the Gaza strip following Israel’s offensive against it last summer.
In the West Bank, Vella will sign the Declaration on the Establishment of a Joint Intergovernmental Committee with his Palestinian counterpart Riad Maliki. He will also hold talks with Palestinian Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the National Economy, Mohammad Mostafa and Riad Malki, amongst other high level meetings. He will also meet President Mahmoud Abbas.
In Israel, Vella will meet Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, Head of the Opposition Isaac Herzog, and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni.
In Jordan, Vella will meet Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh.
