Maltese leaders express solidarity with French people after Paris attacks
Opposition leader, President, Archbishop and Alternattiva Demokratika offer their condolences to and express solidarity with people of France following deadly Paris attacks on Friday
Opposition leader Simon Busuttil, President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, Archbishop Charles Scicluna, and Alternattiva Demokratika chairman Arnold Cassola have expressed solidarity with the people of France, following a series of coordinated attacks in Paris on Friday that left at least 120 people dead.
“Our full solidarity with the people of France in the face of yet another terrorist attack,” Busuttil said in a tweet. “More than ever, we need to stand united and firm against terrorism.”

Coleiro Preca said that she is “truly saddened” by the events.
“Solidarity, deep thoughts and prayers for the victims and the people of Paris,” she said.

“Heartfelt solidarity with the French people at this time of great suffering in the wake of the Paris terror attacks,” Archbishop Charles Scicluna tweeted. “Let us pray for peace.”

In a statement, AD chairman Arnold Cassola described the coordinated attacks as “an attack on European values”.
“This really seems to be the beginning of a war against Europe and its values,” he said.
