[WATCH] AFM releases video about security arrangements for CHOGM 2015

The Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) has released a video detailing security arrangements for the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting (CHOGM) starting tomorrow.

In a statement AFM also explained that the British Military Forces are providing specialized technical assistance, with some of AFM deployed elements being in public view, “as part of an established operational plan followed during such high profile events”.

The video shows preparations in various conference rooms, as well as vehicles being used to transport figures around the island. Bullet proof vests and weapons are also shown in the clip, as well as aircraft and security drills at various locations.

The AFM successfully provided assistance in security operations during the 2015 Valletta Summit on Migration, and it has once again teamed up with other government entities including the Malta Police Force, the Civil Protection Department and Transport Malta, to fully engaged in security arrangements for this week’s Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM15).
