19 positions of trust created by Herrera’s ministry since 2013
Data tabled in parliament shows that three ministries alone created 35 positions of trust since March 2013
The minister for the environment and sustainable development, Jose’ Herrera, had appointed 19 persons to positions of trust since March 2013, of which 12 retained their positions.
This was revealed in parliament on Thursday, in data tabled in reply to questions by opposition MP Jason Azzopardi.
Another nine positions of trust had been created in the ministry for health, under Chris Fearne, although two of them had since been withdrawn.
Helena Dalli, minister for social dialogue, had appointed seven persons to positions of trust, with two of them remaining in place to date.
This data complements figures tabled in parliament on Tuesday, which revealed that another five ministries had, collectively, created 41 positions of trust since March 2013.
This brings the number of positions of trust created during this administration – by the responding eight ministries alone – to 76.
