Speaker Anglu Farrugia and the new Parliament on Reporter
The Speaker's role, the recent move to a new building and MPs' behaviour will also be discussed
The function of Parliament and the role of Speaker of the House will be the main theme on this week's episode of Reporter.
Host Saviour Balzan will be interviewing Speaker Anglu Farrugia on his role, particularly as he is the first full-time Speaker ever. The parliament's recent move to its own dedicated building, designed by world renowned architect Renzo Piano, will also be discussed, with particular attention to how the assembly's work has changed after the move.
Balzan also asks about the new building's facilities as well as MPs' recent outbursts of bad behaviour, leading to suspensions of parliament until order was restored.
Reporter will be broadcast tonight at 8.40pm on TVM2, with a repeat on TVM at 9.45pm.
