Suspect 'under control' after North Carolina college shooting

One suspect is "under control" after police and a SWAT team responded to a report of a shooting at a North Carolina community college's library Monday, an official says.

Tara Humphries, a public information officer at the school, told the Goldsboro News-Argus that police have one suspect "under control," but would not elaborate further or say if police are searching for additional suspects.

The newspaper said school officials confirmed that one person has been shot. Their condition is unknown.

“This is not a drill. The entire campus is under lockdown,” read a message posted on the school’s website.

Wayne County Community College President Kay Albertson said all school personnel have been evacuated.
