Malta's 'divorce' red velvet cupcakes
Mona Farrugia celebrates her Size 10 - and therefore the possibility that her husband leaves her the moment she eats anything - with these glorious cupcakes.
I have been under some pressure to produce 'my views' on what Anna Vella, the president of the Cana Movement (that movement whose only aim in life seems to be to 'prepare' couples for marriage, including 16 year olds who have been 'caught out': without that certificate, you cannot get married in church) said on Monday on the station of the nation.
I wasn't watching. The Writer wanted to watch Inter and since I am an obedient (and non-beaten) wife, I let him. They won. It's always a happy household when they do.
According to Miriam Dalli's report Anna Vella said that she "believed in a lasting marriage, and not a state where people stay together until you are a size 10".
This is really worrying and I hope you are also all worried out there. Although my lifestyle is mostly low-carb, sometimes I push stuff your way such as a Banoffee pie (97,000 calories and counting) and these absolutely stunning Red Velvet Cupcakes (3 billion calories and a lot of food colouring).
In other words, I, Mona Farrugia, have to shoulder responsibility for making you fat and helping your husband leave you the moment divorce becomes available in this country. The depths that this divorce 'discussion' have plummeted to are probably unprecedented in the entire world.
See? Apart from teenage obesity (they will sooooo never get married), ashtma statistics and pollution we are first at something else.
