In search of local food producers and artisans for new project

Vittoriosa is set to become a new hub of activity, and all those interested should apply within.

The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co are sending out a call for an expression of interest from producers and artists who would like to sell their wares at a new and exciting market concept in Malta – the first market is to be held on Sunday, 15 May.

The Malta Artisan Market (Vittoriosa) supported by the Vittoriosa Local Council and Grand Harbour Marina aims to be the market place in Malta with a difference. Set in the beautiful historic setting of Vittoriosa Grand Marina, the market will provide an unique experience offering local fresh seasonal produce and unique local arts and crafts as well as food specialities, baked goods and healthy food to eat on site.

Customers are looking more and more into buying healthy products and unusual gifts. For producers, this is an opportunity to sell organic or ‘aiming to be organic’ fruit, vegetables, juices, cheese, flowers, herbs, breads, eggs, preserves, wines and honey as well arts and crafts direct to the public who appreciate their product.

The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co are offering to assist producers with free marketing advice and suggestions if producers and artists have never sold before.

Organised by The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co – publishers of The Definitive(ly) Good Guide to Restaurants in Malta & Gozo and The Malta Baby and Kids directory, the market will be held on a Sunday once a month from 9am to 3pm.

The market is set to be a meeting place, and will be very family-friendly. Visitors will be able make a day of it and be able to visit the market, eat and socialise there.

As well as visit the market, they could visit the local attractions, and perhaps wander down to the Marina or visit one of the restaurants, as well as one of the many local historic attractions.

If you provide fresh produce, delicious speciality foods, artisan crafts or unique items… please contact The Definitive(ly) Good Guide Co at [email protected] for an application form and information, to be submitted by 27 April.
