Cleaning and gutting a pumpkin
You will need
- 1 large pumpkin
- A serrated knife
- Tablespoon
Method
- Draw a hexagonal shape over the top of your pumpkin. This will become your lid.
- Carefully insert the knife all the way into the pumpkin until you get the hollow centre.
- Carefully cut along the lines you have already drawn and pry the lid off the pumpkin.
- Using a tablespoon, remove the seeds from the sides of the pumpkin shell and scoop out.
- Use the empty pumpkin shell as a server for soup or to carve out a Jack ‘o’ Lantern.
