[WATCH] Herby croutons
Croutons make a great addition to any salad and are great sprinkled over pasta dishes if crushed into breadcrumbs. Making your own is easy and requires nothing more than you would find in a well-stocked pantry.

Ingredients
- 1 loaf day old bread
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 3 sprigs thyme
- 50g butter
- ½ tsp paprika
Method
- Remove the crusts and cut the day old bread into cubes.
- In a skillet on medium heat, melt the butter and add the garlic, herbs and paprika.
- Add to bread to the melted butter and allow to cook until golden.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Allow excess butter to drain on kitchen paper.
These croutons will keep for about a week in an airtight container.
