Hosted by Mark Morales and the NGO Why Not?, Alive will be held next weekend, 16 – 18 January at a farmhouse on Vincent’s Eco-Farm in Zebbiegh, Mgarr and will concentrate on the benefits of healthy cooking and raw food preparation.

There will be healthy cooking lessons with a particular focus on a plant and whole foods dishes, encouraging raw/alive foods such as vegetables, leafy greens, sprouts, juices and smoothies; ensuring we understand the necessity of a balanced diet.

There will be interactive cooking workshops and the retreat will touch on topics, Healthy Cooking workshops, Raw Food Preparation, Conscious Eating, Organic & Sustainable Food, herbal and medicinal teas, healthy comfort food and healing foods. Optional yoga and sound healing will also feature during this event to inspire a healthy living lifestyle.

“What we put in our mouths is a decision we make several times a day. We are in full control of how we nourish our body with the nutritious food it deserves. It can be difficult to step out of our normal eating habits, and the idea of change can be intimidating, but this retreat will inspire you to eat well and enjoy it too,” Mark Morales said.
