Green ice lollies
When you're trying to stick with a healthier lifestyle staying away from ice cream can be problematic, especially at this time of year. This recipe is your answer. While we've all been drinking green smoothies for a while now, it's easy to simply pop these into the freezer for a healthy take on your summer ice cream snack.
Makes 8 ice lollies
Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach
- ½ cup broccoli
- ½ avocado
- 1 apple
- 5 dates
- 1 thumb-sized piece ginger
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 cup water
Method
- Place the ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth.
- Fill the popsicle moulds to the top and insert stick.
- Freeze until solid (approx. 4 hours).
- To remove from the moulds, place in warm water for 5 seconds and slide out.
- Serve immediately.
