Innovative strawberry dishes at Talk of Town Café

The Palace Hotel, is celebrating the strawberry season with a mouth-watering promotion at its Talk of Town Café. 

Until the end of the strawberry season Talk of the Town Cafe will be offering seven new innovative strawberry dishes, which are being served in the morning and for lunch till 16:30. 

An idea of the The Palace’s Executive Chef Joseph Xuereb, these innovative dishes include papardelle tossed with fresh mussels, champagne and strawberries; stir fried strawberries with ginger, honey and coconut milk served with vanilla ice- cream; strawberry, mango and herb salad with lentil dressing and raspberry balsamic; marinated strawberries with Grand Marnier; strawberry tart; Strawberry smoothie; and strawberries dipped in chocolate.

The Palace is also offering free parking for dining patrons – subject to availability.

“The Strawberry season is a traditional event in our country, an event that celebrates the delicious fruits of our land and the skill and dedication of our agricultural industry. Moreover, strawberries are considered nature’s gift to mankind, in that they have long been recognized as containing essential vitamins and chemicals that have protective or disease-preventive properties. Through this promotion we want to celebrate the sumptuousness of local produce as well as the creativity of our staff showing how we can use our local produce to create exceptional, healthy and tasty dishes for the Maltese summer” said Executive Chef Joseph Xuereb

He also congratulated the organisers and participants of the Mgarr Strawberry Festival for continuing to promote the “genuine goodness of Maltese products.”
