Arsenal edge past stubborn Udinese
Arsenal put of a stop top their streak of bad results after they defeated Udinese 2-1 (3-1 aggregate) play-off second leg match yesterday evening.
This result puts Arsenal in the group stage of the Champions League.
The match was fast paced and had numerous scoring opportunities on both sides of the pitch.
Antonio Di Natale put his side in front thanks to his header on the 39th minute.
In the second half, Arsenal were a more compact team and the result showed as Robin van Persie scored the all important away goal on the 55th minute.
Udinese had the chance to go ahead when Thomas Vermaelen conceded a penalty for handball. Di Natale failed to score thanks to some great goalkeeping by Szczesny.
Arsenal put the match to rest on the 70th minute when Theo Walcott’s side-footed effort found the back of the net.
