Birkirkara continue positive run

Birkirkara went ahead on the 19^th minute. Off a cross by Shaun Bajada, a clearance by Floriana was intercepted by Gareth Sciberras who then served Shola Haruna Shodiya. Shodiya then went on to dribble the ball past the Floriana defence to have his low shot beat goalkeeper Patrick Jansen.

On the 34^th minute, Floriana managed to score the equalizer. Off a Pablo Doffo freekick, Eric Akoto's header hit the woodwork to have Malcolm Licari head the ball in goal off the rebound.

Birkirkara managed to regain the lead on the 43^rd minute. Nikola Vukanac headed the ball home off a freekick by Shaun Bajada.

On the 83^rd minute, Floriana were reduced to ten-men afterManolito Micallef picked up his second yellow card.

Just two minutes later the match for Floriana turned for the worse after Eric Akoto was also sent off after he received his second yellow card.

Birkirkara sealed the victory on the 90^th minute when Moises Avila Perez made no mistake with his effort to make the final score 3-1.

Shola Haruna Shodiya was voted BOV Player of the Match.
