Marsaxlokk leave Premier League with victory over Tarxien
Marsaxlokk defeated Tarxien Rainbows 4-2 yesterday evening to end their negative season with a victory.
Marsaxlokk were the dominant side from the start and managed to take the lead on the 8th minute. Off a cross by Jean Paul Farrugia, Alex Cesar Pedroza shot past goalkeeper Nicky Vella to give his team the lead.
On the 18th minute, Marsaxlokk doubled their lead, when Jean Paul Farrugia scored after he picked up the rebound after his first shot was partially saved
Four minutes later, Marsaxlokk were three goals ahead thanks to another goal by Alex Cesar Pedroza.
25 minutes into the match, Jean Paul Farrugia scored the fourth goal for Marsaxlokk with his rising shot.
Tarxien managed to get on the scoreboard on the 52nd minute. Off a pass by Adrian Carabott, Daniel Mariano Bueno had his shot beat goalkeeper Christian Cassar.
Tarxien managed to score their second goal of the match on the 86th minute when Warren Zerafa headed the ball past goalkeeper Chrisitan Cassar from close range.
Jean Paul Farrugia was voted BOV Player of the Match.
