Malta’s Under 16 Girls’ team engaged in UEFA qualifiers

The Malta under 16 Girls’ team will be travelling to Greece to take part in the UEFA 2013 Qualifiers for the category in a quadrangular tournament to be played between the 18th and 22nd March.

Besides Malta the other three teams are Greece, Israel and Azerbaijan.

The team, under the charge of Pierre Brincat, will be playing three matches in as many days. This will be a stiff test to which the players are not accustomed. Nevertheless, in the past months the squad went through an intensive programme of physical preparation in order meet the tough demands later this month.

Malta's matches are as follows:

Tuesday 19 March - Malta vs. Israel

Wednesday 20 March - Malta vs. Greece

Thursday 21 March - Malta vs. Azerbaijan
