High level of football expected in 2010 Emirates Cup

Arsenal Football Club will once again play host to the world’s most exciting pre-season football tournament, which takes place at the Emirates Stadium in London.

This annual tournament will be held on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August. This year, the tournament will feature four big name clubs which are; Arsenal, AC Milan, Celtic and Olympique Lyonnais. All the participating teams will definitely be eager to start their domestic seasons on a positive footing by lifting the Emirates Cup trophy.

During the cup, Emirates will be engaging fans with a regular fan-favourite promotion - The Emirates Upgrade – which awards two lucky fans from the crowd on the day with the opportunity to have their seats upgraded to the exclusive Diamond Club, all courtesy of Emirates Airline.

Since 2004, Emirates have been the main sponsor for Arsenal. At the same time the airline also sponsors AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain Football Club, Hamburger SV and Olympiacos FC. In addition Emirates is also an Official Partner of the FIFA World Cup™ and the Official Airline and Partner of the Asian Football Confederation. The airline is also heavily involved in rugby, cricket, golf, horseracing, sailing and tennis.

Emirates Airline flies daily between Dubai and Malta. Flight EK 108 leaves Malta at 15:40 and arrives in Dubai at 00:40 a.m. the following day, after a short stopover in Larnaca, Cyprus.
