Manchester United agree four-year sponsorship deal with Banif Bank Malta

Premier League champions Manchester United have unveiled another new regional partner, signing an agreement with Malta's Banif Bank.

The four-year deal, confirmed on Friday, will see Banif produce and market the official Manchester United credit card in Malta.

The agreement is the latest national or regional credit card deal struck by the club, which currently lies fifth in the Premier League, with incentives including discounts and opportunities to win United-related prizes.

Banif began trading in 2008 and operates exclusively in Malta, employing 160 people in ten branches on the island.

"Malta has a long and proud association with the club, with its Supporters' club there being founded over 50 years ago, in 1959," noted Manchester United group managing director Richard Arnold.

"Banif Bank has grown rapidly since it was established in 2008 and has an expert understanding of its local market. We are excited that its customers will be able to take advantage of the great club incentives and competitions that this partnership brings."
