'Mourinho cheated on us' - Moratti

Inter President Massimo Moratti admits he felt betrayed by Jose Mourinho when he left Inter. “It was like a husband cheating on his wife and climbing out the window.”

The President has always had kind words for his former Coach, who announced he was joining Real Madrid on the night he won the Champions League, but let out some bitterness.

“It was like a husband cheating on his wife, but seeing as he cares for her and doesn’t have the courage to admit to it, he climbed out the window,” Moratti told 7 Gold television.

Many have compared the Treble-winner to the legendary Helenio Herrera, who was the last tactician to win the European Cup with Inter in the 1960s.

“Is Mourinho like Herrera? Football has changed. The Coaches didn’t used to be on the transfer market, but now they are.

“Mourinho and Herrera do have many things in common: they are genial, professional, but above all do hard work.

“‘Il Mago’ worked so much and the same can be said of Mourinho.”
